Frequently Asked Questions

What is CFBRadar?
CFBRadar is the EA Sports College Football 27 player database and Dynasty toolset. It covers every FBS roster with full ratings and attributes, every ability and its tier requirements, every team and generic playbook, the coaches and their archetypes, and Dynasty mode tools such as the XP calculator, staff tiers and season rewards. Use it to scout, compare players, read depth charts and plan your Dynasty seasons with data that reflects what is actually in the game.
Where do the College Football 27 player ratings come from?
Every rating on CFBRadar comes from the in-game College Football 27 rosters and is updated per roster drop. Each player has an overall (OVR) rating plus 53 individual attributes across general, ball carrier, receiving, passing, defense, coverage, blocking and kicking categories. We store each roster update as its own snapshot, so the numbers you see match what is in the game right now and historical snapshots are never overwritten.
What are abilities and ability tiers in College Football 27?
Abilities are the position-specific perks that make elite players play differently, like a quarterback's pocket presence or a receiver's contested-catch skills. Each ability comes in Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers, with higher tiers unlocking when a player's key attributes clear the tier thresholds. CFBRadar lists every ability, its requirements per position and the players who currently hold it, so you can filter the database by the abilities that matter to your scheme.
What are playbooks and plays in College Football 27?
A playbook is the collection of formations and plays a team runs on offense or defense. College Football 27 ships with a playbook for every program plus a set of generic offensive and defensive playbooks, more than 13,000 plays in total. CFBRadar lets you browse any playbook by formation and sub-formation, open an individual play to see its art and type, and use the Play Finder to search across every playbook at once.
How do depth charts work on CFBRadar?
Each team page has a depth chart tab that lists every position in the order the game uses, from quarterback through the offensive line, defensive front, linebackers, secondary and specialists, with the starters and backups at each spot ranked by overall rating. Use it to find which positions a program is thin at, spot the freshmen sitting behind an outgoing senior, and plan your Dynasty recruiting and transfer portal targets.
Is CFBRadar free to use?
Yes. The full player database, team pages, playbooks, abilities, coaches and Dynasty tools are free to use without an account. Creating a free account lets you save shortlists and take part in discussions. CFBRadar is a fan-made resource and is not affiliated with EA Sports.
